What a joy I had today at the studio, a little Peyton, only 3 wks old, a son of  wonderful parents, Michele and Jim. This 7 lbs of happiness was just a perfect little boy, he did everything we wanted, with just a little assurance, he fall asleep in the most uncomfortable props. Out of all, his favorite got to be the basket with white fur! Couple of peeing accidents just added some laughter in the studio and thanks to Michele and Jim, we were done without any delays. Thank you guys, it was a pleasure working with such a cutie, and I wish your little family of three a wonderful time of bonding, health and happiness and hope to see you back at the studio for some followup photos! Today I had not one but two little newborns, one boy, Garrett and one little girl.  I was very happy to see mom Elva and husband Jose doing well and happy with their little bundle of joy Lola Josephine!  She is such a tiny pretty newborn, like a beautiful miniture doll with big brown beautiful eyes, lots of dark hair, rosy chicks and cute little hands and feet. She only weighted 5 lbs and 11 oz at birth, like a butterfly, she could easily fit on the palm of my hand!   “Handle with care and lots of love” signs were written all over hear! Like a precious cargo, you wanted to bundle her and treasure her for the rest of your life. And her disposition was amazing, calm and easy going.  She was taking it all in, hardly cried at all.  God Bless you with another girl, enjoy her, love her and cherish her!

Troy and Heather finally welcomed their newborn baby boy Garrett, they have been waiting for a long time!  He was born on August 16 very early in the morning! In the photo below, he looks like he is sleeping soundly, but dont be fooled,  its just an act!  He protested for posing for a while and then eventually gave up at the end.  We got only few sleeping shots.. Breakfast, lunch and dinner was on Gerrett’s mind that day.. Well good thing that Heather has no more pains, no more sleepless nights, well ..may be not yet..

What a cute little boy we had at the studio today! This little 3 weeks old Mason of Tony and Mohana was a riot, he rocked all the props (and pooped some of them, including mom’s jeans)!  But he had the cutest little smiles that I have not seen before in newborns, just so radiant and contagious, it made me laugh! Some of them were related to dreaming, happiness, mom’s kisses, fullfillement and some of them were related to, yes, yes, pooping! He was so hungry at the same time, pigging out on the breaks with milk bottle, but, you know what, he deserved it fully as any working man  he had expanded some energy and let me tell you, he worked hard, you guys try to get in and out of these props and monkey suit! Uhh! Lots of work for a baby of his age!  So, we ended our two hour session with some mom’s and baby cuddling time. Despite being tired and cranky, Mason gave us his biggest signature smile at the end and that was the highlight of the whole shoot! Thank you Mason and mom for great help and cooperation! I am 100% positive both of you guys are sleeping well, like a crew after 12 hour hard day of work!  As always, stay healthy but dont grow too fast little Mason and I will see you at 6 months!

Today we had a wonderful family of 4: Messina, Zack, Zaine and little Zeb who drove all the way from Garberville, CA to have few shots done with their newborn Zeb. We had an amazing time with two kids: little Zeb had no problem falling asleep in any props, just couple of minutes of reassuring cuddling with mom or dad and he was ready for the shoot. Then we had a scene where I had dad to hold the newborn in his arms stretched out from under the black drape that was clipped behind him as if he was in the barber chair, so Zaine, who is only 2 got me so laugh, he said: “daddy, are you going to cut your hair?” He had no problem sharing his smilies with me, just adorable little kid, full of love and energy! Thank you mom and dad for your great help, the shoot went well and we had only two peed props! Not bad to for Zeb’s first photoshoot! I used all my props and would probably could go another day with the kids if I had the luxury!

For the afternoon session we had a visit from little Blake who is only 2 weeks old. He could not drive yet up to the studio ( he is getting his driver’s license next week) so for now he could only sleep well in the baskets and was asking for a new dipper! He was so tiny, I had to go macro lever with little guys, everything was too big for him at the studio. He fit the smallest basket I had, very impressive! His parents Pam and Tyler were very helpful to make him feel like at home, he got the best feedings, good clean dippers and most important love and care  of his amazing parents! How can you not want to cuddle with this cutie! And what a great Father’s Day gift Pam! It was nice meeting you guys and you little boy Blake!

Landon is finally here, 1 months old little cute boy of Melissa and Aleks! They made it to our studio for his first modeling photoshoot! Little guy did not like most of the props.  What he really liked was the food, warm blanket and clean dippers, and yes, his parents hands. In fact the only time he got to sleep on the set was in dad’s hands! It was so precious, I did not want to disturb the kid, he worked so hard! Thank you mom and dad for helping me, I am glad we got few good shots of him. He is so adorable. Cannt wait for his 1 year old session!  In the meanwhile enjoy your photos from this session!

Today we had newborn twins at the studio for their first photoshoot! Bri and Terry, and grandparents were all helping me around the set, was kind of hard keep tracking of their little cuties. I was ecstatic to have twins for the first time, so I had so many cute ideas how to photograph them together, but right at the beginning things did not go as smooth as we once hoped!  Once we placed them both on the backdrop, MaryRose was asleep and comfortable right away but little Asher William did not want to pose naked, so he was trying really hard to keep his little sister awake and join his fight for his rights! It was so funny!  On the black and white shot, you can see her foot under his chin and he is rebelling away from his sister! Bri said, that s is how they were in her tummy!  We could only get two good shots of them together!  Rest of the shoot had to be separated.  With these little ones always have to have plan B!  Anyway, we had a few accidents where little Asher peed so high he reached the softbox!  And I got it on film! We all worked hard at this!  If not for two parents and grandparents we would have been in trouble! Extra hands in the studio was just a blessing. Hope to see you guys for their 1 year birthday back at the studio!  In the meanwhile, happy growing little guys!

Today we had a lovely couple, Sarah and Doug with their cute little newborn baby Levi back at the studio! I could not wait to photograph this guy, he was so calm despite all the flashing lights and commotion at the studio.  After about 3 hours of in/out of props and clothes, changing scenery, taking breaks and peeing on mom and dad and some chairs, we had successfully got about 48 shots! Not bad for Levi’s first modeling photoshoot!  What a day of a hard work!  Thank you Sarah and Doug for helping me with Levi on the set. You were amazing!  So glad to be there to photograph his first steps and appearance in this world!  He was so petite I had to get my macro lenses out to get some close up shots of his wrinkles, eyes and toes!  And, for their family shot, they have  tie-dyed three matching t-shirts  the night before.  It looks so cute and unique. I simply love it!  Hope to see you guys later back at the studio!

January 5, 2011

January 5, 2010, we had a tiny cute 1 month old baby Myla Rose who did not want to cooperate with us, until very last moment, when we literally squeezed couple good shots out of her. She wanted to negotiate her contract and did not like posing nude! Dont blame her! I think she just did not feel good! Anyway, poor parents of her, Andy and Sarah did a great job helping me in the studio, thank you guys for your patience and your hard work! I can guess all three of you slept for the longest time after the session! I would love to see her again when she is a bit bigger, i think she would rock this studio!
