My good friend Sarah is having another baby! I am so excited for three of them, not only Andy and Sarah are the most wonderful parents I have known, they are the most patient and loving family of three!  God bless your new home and safe delivery to you Sarah!

Holly and Jeremy are expecting their first little girl and are very happy. I so much enjoyed their company and I am sure their baby will get lots of attention and love! Happy delivery!

What a fun session we had with Heather, soon -to -be- mom-for the 2nd time, her husband Troy and their little girl Allison! We were hoping we could interest Allison in participating in the shoot but she was too distracted by the doggies outside and d rather watch her dvd. Thanks to Troy, who is a firefighter, agreed to do a shot with his wife in his whole firefighting  outfit! Just for one shot, Troy “did not mind” putting it on in the hottest day of the summer and posing for Heather, and what is love if not that! I had pulled out my old fog machine and we used some red and yellow gel to imitate a smoke and fire in the studio. We kind of felt like a smoked salmon after the shoot! Anyway, Heather tolerated all of the hard positioning and was a trooper on the set. I had enjoyed the session and wishing you Heather a safe delivery to a healthy little boy Velin! Cant wait to see your little newborn bundle of joy soon!

Today I had a chance to play a cowgirl on a ranch! Well, not really..I was just a photographer … Jessica, who is (only!) 8 months pregnant called me and set up this appointment at her mom’s ranch about a week ago! She said, I want to do some pregnancy photos at the ranch with my horse. Well, little did I know, that this country fearless woman would jump on the horse without a saddle, bare feet ride the horse down to the creek right in front of my camera. I though for sure, at one point we would be delivering the baby right here on the side of the creek and would have to combine our pregnancy  with newborn photosession…Well, Jessica would not have to pay me twice, there is some kind of incentive right..But really.. I could hardly believe my eyes! Boy, she proved me wrong, pregnant woman do ride horses and I believe Jessica was very good at it! I wondered for a second, can I do it like her ? My mind promptly came up with the answer…No..It will take a load of pharmacy, Larissa, to comatose you to get up the courage for this little adventure..Anyway, besides the point, she was such a lovely and beautiful young lady and the background could not be any better, just the perfect fit for Jessica.  Thank you Tanya, for letting us rome around and for all your help getting us down safely to the creek! I have enjoyed the session immensely, in fact, I would love to come back and do some more photos of this gorgeous place, which, in fact is for rent for Any Special Occasion! Today we had a wonderful family of five: Elva (soon to be mom again), her husband Jose, their two adorable twins Emma and Maya who are only 2.5 yrs old and their baby Lola due August 22. We did a mini session that went by very quickly and was not very tiring on the mom. We got couple of family shots and a few of mom Elva by herself.  The girls were behaiving themselves so well and they were so gentle, we had no problem getting them in few shots..I had a hard time telling them apart but, of course you just ask mom or dad, they know..Anyway, I had visioned something like a Rembrant oil painting with Elva, something you would see on the old canvas: muted and yet soft colors…

I wanted to add this, to all my potential maternity clients, many woman dont feel like their best during pregnancy, they usually shy of the camera and dont wont to show lots of their changing body. Yes, pregnancy does add few pounds but the is the most  natural and beautiful look to a woman, on my opinion. So, moms, please dont be shy, let me play with the light and the fabrics, show the best side of you during one and only moment you have so you can look back 10 years from now and remember your presious moment in life,  just you and your baby and nothing else for that one moment in life..

March 4, 2011, we had a wonderful session with soon to be mom, Oksana, her husband Franklin and son Maksym! Frank had patiently waited on the couch, after work, tired while me and Oksana got her in and out of drapes for 3 hours which I am sure seemed like an eternity for him! And her older son Maksym was a great help around the set, even though all we did  was girly-girl stuff. Thank you guys for helping making Oksana’s precious memories of her pregnancy last for ever! We barely made our session on time, had to reschedule once already due to 3 feet of snow we got last week at the studio. Ugh, cutting it close to the due date! But we made it! Yeah! The new baby-girl -Katerina, is planned to arrive on the 25th! Happy delivery mom and dad! Cannt wait to see your little precious bundle of joy back at the studio!

January 28, 2011, we had lovely photosession with soon-to-be-mom for the first time, Melissa, and her husband Aleks! In three hours, I think we got everything we had on the wish list. Aleks, jumped in and got a few shots done with Melissa, but mostly he was so helpful at the studio, holding a fan or a drape, would not do without him! Thanks Aleks! I cant wait to see their little one at the studio, with mom’s beautiful features, she/he (they wanted to keep that as a surprise) would be absolutely adorable and with dad’s great calm personality,  he/she should be a wonderful sleeping newborn! Since they did not want to find out the baby’s sex, we did both pink and blue themes, and some neutral, and, yes, this mom’s butterfly tattoo on her leg was our theme, it brings out so much character!  With the due date coming up soon, I am wishing you guys safe and easy delivery and have wonderful bonding time together.

January 19, 2011, we had lovely session with this young-soon-to-be-parent, Sarah, her little soone-to-be out boy-Levi and fiance-Daug! Such a great couple and wonderful parents, I am sure! They were very patient, caring and loving! Great energy! We got some beautiful maternity portraits done, Sarah nailed all of them with such an easy and grace, I felt I was working with a model! Hope to see your little Levi back at the studio, if he s got half of his mom’s grace and easy personality, he would be an absolute pleasure to photograph!
